Good-Bye, Gary

May 28, 2010

Gary Coleman died today after suffering a brain hemorrhage. I remember watching Diff'rent Strokes all the time when I was a kid, even all those "extra special" episodes where you were supposed to learn something.

Of course, the highlight of his career was when he appeared as a security guard on the Simpsons.

So, good-bye, Gary Coleman. You will be missed.

I believe you captured Gary's high point in his career with that photo.

Other than Diff'rent Strokes and, as you pointed out, his career highlight on the Simpsons, did Coleman do anything else?

I don't remember him doing anything else worth noting.

Well, other than using his head as the meat for a boob sandwich. Oh, to be Gary Coleman's head for only a minute.

So sad about Gary. Even though he will always be remembered for his tagline "What you talkin' bout, Willis?, to me he will always be that spunky little runt that thought he was qualified to run for governor of California in the 2003 recall election (losing to Arnold Schwarzenegger)coming in 8th place out of 135 candidates with over 14,000 votes. RIP little dude!

Isn't a "braim hemorrhage" really just a "Diff'rent Stroke"?

Oh, boo your own damn self. That's gold. But not the kind you can mail in and get cash for.

I've never seen Gary looking as happy as he was looking there.

My brother had the funniest Facebook profile:

"What you talkin' bout Grim Reaper"

Mean but funny.

Well, to me at least.

@ Skydad: I hope they bury him somewhere hilly.

@ Chemgeek: I think he did some celebrity guest spots on various shows.

And...if you're going to chose to be Gary's head, you might want to be specific when you pick which moment you're pining for...

@ TGoette: I TOTALLY FORGOT about him running for governor of California! Damn. Yes, things would have been a lot more different if people had come to their senses then. Er...well...maybe not.

@ Scope: Isn't a hemorrhage the opposite of a stroke? Aren't strokes from clots and hemorrhages from lots of blood flowing freely?

@ Cora: Gary and I have the same taste in women: chesty.

@ Zibbs: That. Was. Brilliant. Kudos to your brother and his sick sense of humor!
